A security supervisor was arrested for allegedly killing a watchman in Niti Khand area here, police said today.
Upon a tip off, police arrested security supervisor Mukesh Kumar who allegedly killed watchman Ram Bhadur Thakur when the latter was on duty in an under construction society on November 25, by beating him with an iron bar, SHO Sheelesh Yadav said.
During interrogation, the accused told the police that he had heated arguments several times with Bahadur as the latter allegedly resorted to abusive language and would tease him over his caste, he said.
Police said they have recovered the blood-stained iron bar from the construction site.
Mukesh has been sent to jail, Yadav added.
