Select base metals drop on subdued demand

Select base metals dropped at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists selling amid subdued demand from industrial users.
Meanwhile, zinc recovered due to fresh demand from alloy industries.
Tin prices dipped by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 1,460 from Monday's close Rs 1,465 and brass sheet cuttings edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 316 as against Rs 318 yesterday.
Copper scrap heavy, copper armiture and brass utensils scrap softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 391, Rs 385 and Rs 307, respectively.
However, zinc regained by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 220 as compared to Rs 218 yesterday.
