Select base metals eased in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on reduced industrial offtake despite a better London Metal Exchange (LME) advices.
The Industrial metal inched up in early trade at the LME, as bargain hunting helped lift it from 10-day lows hit the session before, but feeble economic momentum in the US and China kept a lid on prices.
Copper sheet cutting, aluminium ingots and tin prices edged-down by Rs 2 per kg each to Rs 485, Rs 147 and Rs 1,540 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 487, Rs 149 and Rs 1,542, respectively.
Copper armiture and brass sheet cutting also softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 490 and Rs 362.
