Freight rates for 10-tonne load section for select destinations hardened upto Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following tight position of trucks against cargo movements.
Transporters said besides good cargo movements, thin availability of trucks in the markets mainly pushed up some of centres freight.
Delhi to Chennai and Mysore rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 70,000 and Rs 71,000.
Rates to Kolkata and Surat also went up by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 34,000 and Rs 30,000.
The following are today's freights per 10-tonne load: Jaipur 21,000 Hyderabad 60,000
Chandigarh 22,000 Vijayawada 63,000
Ludhiana 22,500 Bangalore 68,000
Kanpur 23,000 Chennai 70,000
Indore 23,500 Mysore 71,000
Ahmedabad 25,000 Pondicherry 71,000
Baroda 26,000 Coimbatore 74,000
Patna 28,000 Kochi 76,000
Surat 30,000 Thiruvananthapuram 80,000 Mumbai 31,000 Goa 57,000
Pune 33,000 Gwalior 14,500
Kolkata 34,000 Guwahati 55,000.
