Select copper and brass sheet cuttings gain on good demand

Copper armature, copper utensils, copper sheet cuttings and brass sheet cuttings gained further at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' buying amidst good demand from industrial users.
While copper cable scrap, copper billets and nickel eased following subdued demand from alloy industries.
Copper utensils rose by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 410 from last Saturday's close at Rs 405 and copper sheet cuttings moved up by Rs 3 per kg to Rs 426 from Rs 423 previously.
Brass sheet cuttings edged up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 340 as compared to last weekend's close at Rs 338 and copper armature inched up to Rs 429 per kg.
However, nickel prices slid by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 800 from its previous close at Rs 805.
Copper cable scrap and copper billets softened by a Re per kg each to Rs 452 and Rs 480, respectively.
