Select copra spurts on heavy demand

Copra edible, copra office Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices spurted at the Spices market here today due to heavy stockist and millers demand on the back of higher export offtake amidst restricted arrivals from producing regions.
While, black pepper and ginger remained stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Copra edible shot-up by Rs 650 per quintal to Rs 9,650 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 9,000.
Copra office Alapuzha climbed by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 8,250 from Rs 8,100 and Copra office Kozhikode also moved up by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,100 as against Rs 8,000 yesterday.
