Select destinations' freight rates up

Freight rates for nine-tonne pay load section for select destinations hardened by Rs 1000 in the local truck transport market today following tight position of trucks against increased cargo movements.
Transporters said besides good cargo movements, less availability of trucks in the markets mainly pushed up freight rates for select destinations.
Delhi to Mysore, Vijaywada and Hyderabad rates moved up by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 69,000, Rs 59,000 and Rs 57,000.
Rates to Goa, Patana and Kanpur also improved by Rs 1,000 each at Rs 54,000, Rs 28,000 and Rs 21,000.
