Select freight rates fall on excess trucks position

Freight rates for 10-tonne pay load section to select centres eased by Rs 1,000 in the local truck transport market today following tight cargo movements against excess availability of trucks.
Transporters said against adequate availability of trucks, restricted cargo movements, mainly influenced freight rates for some destinations.
Delhi to Chennai, Coimbatore and Kochi freight rates were down by Rs 1,000 each to Rs 68,000, Rs 74,000 and Rs 77,000.
Rates to Jaipur, Chandigarh and Gwalior also eased by Rs 500 each to Rs 21,000, Rs 23,000 and Rs 16,000.
