Select pulses fall on low demand

Prices of select pulses led by urad fell up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale pulses market today owing to slackened demand from retailers at prevailing levels against adequate stocks position.
Traders said besides fall in demand at current levels, adequate stocks position on higher supplies in the market mainly kept pressure on select pulses.
In the national capital, urad and its dal chilka local fell by Rs 200 each to Rs 8,100-8,700 and Rs 9,100-9,300 per quintal respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya were enquired lower by a similar margin to Rs 9,200-9,800 and Rs 9,600-9,900 per quintal.

Moong and its dal chilka followed suit and lost Rs 200 each at Rs 6,100-6,600 and Rs 6,900-7,400 per quintal respectively. Its dal dhoya local and best traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 6,900-7,200 and Rs 7,700-7,800 per quintal.
Moth too shed Rs 100 at Rs 5,300-5,600 per quintal.
