Select pulses remain down on fall in demand

Select pulses prices drifted further lower by up to Rs 200 per quintal at the wholesale market today on easing demand from retailers against sufficient stocks position.
Traders said besides fall in demand from retailers at current levels, improved supplies in the market, mainly pulled down select pulses prices.
In the national capital, gram, gramdal local and best quality were down by Rs 100 each to Rs 10,300-10,500, Rs 10,500-10,800 and Rs 10,900-11,000 per quintal, respectively.
Urad and its dal chilka local shed Rs 100 each to Rs 7,250-8,850 and Rs 7,700-7,800 per quintal, respectively. Its dal best quality and dhoya followed suit and traded lower by a similar margin to Rs 7,800-8,300 and Rs 8,200-8,500 per quintal.
Moong and its dal chilka local also moved down by Rs 100 each to Rs 5,300-5,900 and Rs 5,800-6,100 per quintal. Its dal dhoya local and best quality traded lower by the same margin to Rs 6,400-6,900 and Rs 6,900-7,100 per quintal.
Moth too ended lower by Rs 200 to Rs 4,000-4,300 per quintal.

Masoor small Rs 5,500-5,700, bold Rs 5,550-5,750, Dal Masoor local Rs 5,950-6,450, best quality Rs 6,050-6,550, Malka local Rs 6,400-6,900, best Rs 6,500-7,000, Moth Rs 4,000-4,300, Arhar Rs 7,150, Dal Arhar Dara Rs 9,100-10,900.
Gram Rs 10,300-10,500, Gram dal (local) Rs 10,500-10,800, best quality Rs 10,900-11,000, Besan (35 kg), Shakti Bhog Rs 4,300, Rajdhani Rs 4,300, Rajma Chitra Rs 6,000-8,200, Kabuli Gram small Rs 9,800-10,200, Dabra Rs 2,700-2,800, Imported Rs 4,700-5,100, Lobia Rs 5,400-5,600, Peas white Rs 2,950-2,975 and green Rs 3,200-3,300.
