Sena activist murdered in Thane

A Shiv Sena activist was murdered here today allegedly by two unknown persons, which police suspect a fallout of previous enmity.
The incident occurred in Naupada locality this evening when Sanjay Rokade (40) was parking his car near an automobile shop, said senior police inspector D D Pagare of Naupada police station.
Police said that the duo first damaged the windscreen of the car with iron rods and when Rokade got down to confront them they smashed his head with the rods.
Rokade was rushed to Jupiter Hospital where he was declared brought dead.
A case under section 302 of IPC is registered in this regard, Pagare said, adding that prima facie the murder was the fallout of some personal enmity.

The deceased was a resident of Dhobi Aali.
Police also said that Rokade was allegedly involved in the murder of one Arun Gangurde in Tekdi Bungalow area some years back and had served jail term earlier.
