Senior leaders Manjeet Singh, Amindra Thakur, Ritesh Kaprate, Mahesh Sharma and Deepak Rathore in a letter to Sukku said they were hurt by the controversy and the remarks.
This comes close on the heels of two party secretaries Pradeep Verma and Kusum Verma tendering their resignations.
"We have been working as HPCC secretary for more than three years. We fail to understand why this issue has been raked up now. We are hurt by the attacks on our self respect," the leaders said.
Thus would cause frustration among workers and "Mission Repeat" would suffer a setback, they claimed.
On members projecting their kins as future leaders, they said if kins of senior leaders had rights to positions in the party, common workers should be debarred.
