He was taken to the state-run Nizam's Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) and the doctors declared him to be brought dead, family sources said.
Suresh, known for his friendly and helpful nature in media circles, has been working with The Hindu newspaper for about 25 years now, they said.
In his long career as a journalist, Suresh has covered Telugu film industry and different political parties, transport and other beats.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, state BJP president K Laxman, YSR Congress president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, and the Press Club of Hyderabad condoled the death of Suresh.
The cremation would take place after the return of his parents from the US, his colleagues said.
