SEOA to be discontinued from this year

The prestigious Sarda Equal Opportunity Award (SEOA), instituted by Nashik's Shrirang Sarda Charitable Foundation since 2000 which carried a cash purse of Rs 7.5 lakh, has been discontinued from this year.
So far, 14 persons and some organisations have received the SEOA for their contribution in the field of social work.
However, since the foundation's aim has been fulfilled, the award is being discontinued from 2014, SEOA Foundation trustee Shrirang Sarda said in a release issued here today.
