Addressing a function after inaugurating the Rs 50 lakh ICU unit setup under CSR funds by the Kakinada sea ports limited at the government hospital here, state Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas said services of private doctors would be made available under the new system in the areas where the facilities were lacking in the hospitals.
These doctors' services would be made available within a fortnight and continue till such time the qualified doctors were appointed, he added.
On the steps initiated to improve the medical care at all the government hospitals, he said, senior IAS officers were entrusted with the job of overseeing the functioning of the hospitals.
