Seven mobile phones, cash seized from Motihari jail

At least seven mobile phones and about Rs 10,000 in cash was seized during a raid conducted at the Motihari Central Jail in Bihar's East Champaran district today, a jail official said.
"The raid was conducted by Sadar Deputy Superintendent of Police Pankaj Rawat and Sadar Sub-Divisional Officer Rajnish Lal, who were accompanied by a number of police personnel, at around 0330 hours", jail superintendent Manoj Kumar said.
"The officials raided every ward in the jail and from about 15 inmates, seven mobile phones and approximately Rs 10,000 in cash were recovered", he said.
