Fast track (II) district court Judge Bishnu Charan Mondal pronounced the punishment against the seven accused. They were convicted yesterday, public prosecutor Debashish Roy said.
In addition to this, the court slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 on each of the convicted person and will have to undergo a jail term of another two years if they failed to pay the fine, he said.
A man was murdered at Bahadurpur in Nadia district on August 16, 2007 in an incident of bombing, stabbing and firing.
