SEWA-THDC, EESL ink pact to improve lighting at Ganga Ghat

SEWA-THDC has entered into a pact with Energy Efficiency Services Ltd to strengthen and improve lighting arrangements and highlight important structures at Ganga Ghat in Rishikesh and Haridwar.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed this week, a statement said.
SEWA-THDC is a company sponsored society of THDC India Limited (THDCIL).
In the first phase, mainly the work of high mast LED lights on both ends of Ram Jhula and facade lighting, high mast, semi high mast and facade lights on left bank of river Ganga from Ram Jhula to Parmarth Niketan and facade lighting of Parmarth Niketan Ganga aarti area will be taken up, the statement said.
This will not only facilitate millions of national and international pilgrims/visitors but also highlight historical and cultural importance of the holy river Ganga, it added.
