Shah launches BJP's campaign in Har, hits out at Cong, Hooda

The BJP today hit out at Congress for seeking explanations on the progress made by the two month-old Narendra Modi government saying it should first give an account of its 60 years of "misrule".
Launching the election campaign for the assembly polls, slated later this year in the state, Shah attacked Bhupinder Singh Hooda government and the main opposition INLD over alleged scams, and appealed to people to give a clear mandate to his party in the upcoming Assembly elections.
The BJP president lashed out at the 10 years of "misrule" of Hooda government for pushing the state backward saying his main worry was not the welfare of his people, but how to keep his political masters in Delhi 'happy'.

"The Congress is asking an account of 60-75 days of Modi government but they should first give an account of what they did for the past 60 years when they were in power," Shah said, while addressing his maiden rally here after taking over as the party chief.
He said that last government had left a deep hole and it would take time to recover.
"But this does not mean it will take a very long time. Whatever we have said in our manifesto, we will fulfil all those assurances and will go before the people in 2019 with those fulfilled promises and win," he said while flagging off the 'Vijay Sankalp Yatra' from here, which marked the launch of the party's election campaign for the Haryana Assembly polls.

Seeking a clear mandate for the BJP, he also sounded a warning for its ally the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) not to remain adamant on contesting on 45 seats after its drubbing in the LS polls, saying the party has to keep in mind the people's aspirations after the changed scenario post the Lok Sabha polls.
He said though BJP was committed to alliance with HJC, but at the same time made it clear that his party was prepared to fight on all the 90 assembly seats if the junior partner remains adamant on old terms and conditions.
"Today's rally is a proof that Congress government's days are numbered. BJP will form government with absolute majority in Haryana," he said.
