24 year-old Ganiga is the 23rd accused in the case and was arrested three days ago by Mangaluru North police in connection with another crime.
He was sent from the Mangaluru prison to the central prison in Mysuru after the arrest, they said.
The pub attack took place on January 24, 2009 when members of Pro-Hindu organisations assaulted visitors at a pub in the city in an alleged act of moral policing.
Ganiga is also accused in more than 10 cases, including rioting and attempts to murder at different city police stations.
Nine nine persons have been arrested under the Act since January 2015, including six this year.
Shailesh is the sixth person to be booked under the act this year, police said.
