Shepherd killed in blast near Army firing range in J&K

A shepherd was killed today in a blast near an Army firing range in Awantipora area of Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir, police said.
Ashiq Hussain Chopan (25) was grazing his livestock when he came into contact with some object that exploded and injured him severely in Jawbara, near the firing range of the Army's Victor Force, a police official said.
He said Chopan was rushed to the nearest sub-district hospital, where he succumbed to injuries.
