Shiv Nadar conferred Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal

A premier management school here, XLRI, conferred the prestigious 'Sir Jehangir Ghandy Medal for Social and Industrial Peace' on Shiv Nadar Founder & Chairman of HCL and Shiv Nadar Foundation, for his contribution towards the shaping of Indian IT Industry.
Rajiv Kaul, Member of Board of Governors, XLRI and Chairman and Managing Director Nicco Corporation, presented the award to Nadar on the occasion of its 57th annual convocation held here yesterday.
236 students of Post Graduate Programmes in Management, 6 students of Fellow Program in Management from Jamshedpur campus and 25 students from Ex-PGP course from Dubai campus, received their graduating certificates and medals.
Speaking on the occasion, Nadar advised the future managers to strive to search for the right path to achieve the goal.
Describing leadership as "state of mind" and leader be a visionary, he said one should have the leadership quality in the prevailing scenario and should be efficient enough to pick the right signal in the noises.
One who succeeded in creating the army of leaders was a true leader, he said.
Fr. E Abraham, Director of XLRI, focused on the achievements and milestones of the institute during the academic session 2012- 13.
Abraham said XLRI has made its presence felt particularly at the international level. Two international programmes have been launched. "Our collaborators have displayed a keen interest in both the programmes" he said.
