Shiv Sena workers today staged a demonstration at the Panaji bus stand against the "failure" of the BJP-led state government on various fronts.
Goa unit Sena president Jitesh Kamat said the governance in the state has "collapsed" in absence of chief minister Manohar Parrikar who is away in the USA for medical treatment.
The agitation lasted for two hours during which the Sena workers raised slogans.
He alleged that state ministers have failed to fulfill the aspirations of the people.
"There is a crisis in the state. The governance has collapsed. There is no law and order. Police machinery is acting arbitrarily which is evident from recent cases," Kamat claimed.
He said the Sena was not criticising Parrikar because he is not in good health.
Sena's Goa unit BJP vice president Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik accused the ruling BJP of compromising the interests of the coastal state to win Karnataka elections.
"We have seen this in the Mahadayi water dispute issue. Parrikar had agreed to share the water with Karnataka against the wish of the people," she said.
