Shivanand Tiwari today returned to RJD, a party he had left in 2006 to join the Janata Dal (United).
Tiwari, a former Rajya Sabha member, was seen at a press conference of party chief Lalu Prasad here.
Prasad announced that Tiwari would be party's national vice president along with Raghuvansh Prasad Singh.
Tiwari resigned from the primary membership of RJD in November 2006.
He then joined JD(U) but was expelled from it in February 2014 for "anti-party activities".
