His comments assume significance as there were reports of him being called to the national capital for organisational responsibilities after Vyapam scam came to fore.
During 'Aaj Tak Agenda' programme here, Chouhan claimed credit for unearthing the scam and for getting it probed by the CBI.
"I never think of doing politics outside Madhya Pradesh. My soul lies in the state. I will continue to work for the welfare of people of the state," he said.
"Earlier there was no system for recruitment. I promoted technology for recruitments and selection process. I only exposed irregularities in Vyapam not media or Congress," he said.
Chouhan said he only recommended CBI probe in the case after the scam was highlighted in media.
"Some people had approached High Court seeking CBI probe. But it said no. Supreme Court also said the same thing. I got Special Task Force look into the matter. I told them, whosoever high and mighty the accused is you catch all of them. I posted the most honest officer in STF.
The Vyapam scam relates to massive irregularities in recruitments for government jobs and selection for various professional courses like engineering and medical done by Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board or 'Vyapam' in Hindi.
Chouhan highlighted various measures taken by his government in the steps including programme to promote girl child education among others.
