SHO Sadar, Sajjan Singh, had assured Rajinder Kumar that he would scrap his name from a case of bank fraud for Rs one lakh, said Yoginder Nehra, SP vigilance bureau, Gurgaon range.
Rajinder, a resident of Laxman Vihar area, was a guaranteer for three persons, who had taken a loan of Rs 20 lakh from Gurgaon Gramin bank, the SP said.
As the three persons failed to return the loan and went absconding, the bank registered a case against them and Rajinder.
On Rajender's complaint, the bureau laid a trap and arrested the SHO while he was taking the money via a middle man, the SP said.
