SHO Inder Singh Chandela and ASI Bijender Singh of the Kanina police station of Mahendergarh district, about 35 km from Rewari, were suspended on the orders of Superintendent of Police (Narnaul) Simar Deep Singh, officials said today.
DSP (Headquarters) Jaipal Singh has been deputed to conduct a departmental enquiry against the two officials.
The case pertains to the alleged sodomy of a 17-year-old migrant worker by a dairy owner's son and his three associates at Bhagdana village in Mahendergarh district on September 1.
In that critical condition, the victim had somehow reached the Kanina police station where he was allegedly cold shouldered by the police officials concerned, officials said.
He had then reportedly boarded a train to Rattangarh town in Churu district of Rajasthan and started getting treatment in a hospital there.
After receiving information from the hospital authorities, the caretaker of the dairy brought him back to Bhagdana where he succumbed to his injuries on September 4.
Raju's post mortem was conducted today after his guardian and other members of the family arrived in Mahendergarh.
The Kanina police also registered a case of murder, sodomy and under the Protection of Children against Sexual Offences Act against Babloo and three others.
A senior police official said efforts were on to apprehend the culprits who were absconding.
