SI suspended for posessing pistol

a Sub-Inspector was suspended for allegedly possessing a pistol in his house and trying to sell it through a criminal, police said.
The SI Jeyapal had tried to sell the pistol through the criminal David, was arrested by the Prohibition Enforcement Wing Police on the East Coast road last night, Inspector Rajesh Kanna said.
Police said they had registered a case against the SI under the Arms Act. He was produced before a court and released on personal surity.
Constable Suresh who was also with the SI when he allegedly negotiated the sale of the revolver has also been suspended.
