Actress Sienna Miller will no longer appear in Whitey Bulger biopic "Black Mass" as her scenes have been edited out of the film.
Director Scott Cooper confirmed that her scene has been removed from the true-story drama starring Johnny Depp, reported Ace Showbiz.
"It came down to narrative choices," Cooper said.
He added that Miller did a "fantastic" job starring opposite Depp as Bulger's girlfriend, Catherine Greig. He, however, thinks Bulger's life as a fugitive with Greig was "less dramatic" and so decides to focus on the gangster's life before he left Boston.
The movie is scheduled to open in US theatres on September 18. It tells the story of an unholy alliance, which spiralled out of control, allowing Whitey to evade law enforcement, consolidate power, and become one of the most ruthless and powerful gangsters in Boston history.
