A nation-wide campaign to collect signatures for a petition to be submitted before the United Nations pertaining to 1984 riots was launched here today.
The campaign was jointly launched by the All India Sikh Students Federation and the Sikhs for Justice.
Their aim was to collect a million signatures for a petition to be submitted to the UN on '84 riots, AISSF head Karnail Singh Peermohammad said.
Last year, the Akal Takht, the highest temporal seat of the Sikhs, had issued an edict directing AISSF and SFJ to file the petition.
