This will be the second time the Carnival, featuring adventure sports, exhibition of local culture, cuisine and music, will be held in the state, Tourism Secretary C Zangpo said today.
Some singers and musicians will come from Kathmandu in Nepal.
Zangpo said that the main purpose of the carnival was to boost tourist footfall in Sikkim during winter, a time that traditionally sees a decline in the number of visitors.
