At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in March moved up by Rs 375, or 0.91 per cent, to Rs 41,800 per kg in business turnover of 475 lots.
Similarly, the metal for delivery in May traded higher by Rs 345, or 0.82 per cent, at Rs 42,400 per kg in 23 lots.
Analysts attributed the rise in silver prices at futures trade to a firming trend in the precious metal overseas and pick up in demand in the spot market.
