Silver jubilee conference to be held on March 4

The silver jubilee conference of the Kerala chapter of Indian Society of Gastroenterology will be held here this weekend.
The theme of the two-day conference beginning on March 4 is Gastrointestinal Oncology (GI Oncology), discussing different issues from prevention to palliation, organisers said today.
The Department of Gastroenterology Medical Trust Hospital,Kochi in association with Cochin Gut Club is organizing the silver jubilee conference.
Organisers said a learning centre for the young gastroenterologists where various advanced endoscopic procedures are shown as video clippings will be set up as part of the silver jubilee conference.
In addition there will be a parallel workshop for the endoscopic technicians, technician students and nurses where they get exposure to newer instruments and procedures.

Around hundred faculty members will give lectures and present papers in the conference expected to be attended by approximately 300 delegates, they said.
