Silver prices traded lower by 0.10% to Rs 42,035 per kg in futures trade today as speculators offloaded positions on the back of a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver for delivery in far-month December fell by Rs 41, or 0.10%, to Rs 42,035 per kg in business turnover of 412 lots.

Market analysts said speculators trimmed positions in line with a weak global trend mainly helped silver prices to trade lower at futures market here.

Meanwhile, silver lost 0.2% to $19.00 an ounce, the lowest since June 10 in Singapore.
