Basking in the success of his track 'Kootti Muttiya' in Malayalam film 'Pullipulikalaum Aaattinkuttiyum', singer Najim Arshad has now made a foray into Bollywood with two songs in 'Kaafiron Ki Namaaz'.
"The music composer is Advait Nemlekar and it is a feature film," Najim told PTI.
The 27-year-old thinks he is fortunate to be singing in the film with singers like Sukhwinder Singh, Javed Ali and Usha Uthup. He has also done a Marathi song for the same composer.
Talking about 'Kootti Muttiya', his duet with Sujatha Mohan in the Lal Jose-directed Malayalam film which is picturised on Kunchako Bobban and debutant Namitha, said it is a haunting number composed by music composer Vidyasagar.
The Lal Jose-Vidyasagar team has spelled success for this 27-year-old post graduate in music from the Sree Swati Tirunal College of Music at Thiruvanathapuram.
He considers himself lucky to be singing for Vidyasagar. It was his 'Thottu Thottu' number in 'Diamond Necklace' last year that became a turning point for Najim.
For the singer, 2012 was a fulfilling year professionally as he turned out several chartbusters in films like 'Diamond Necklace', 'Trivandrum Lodge', 'Ayalum Njanum Thammil' and 'Da Thadiya.
