Some masked men entered Dr Anandan's house on November 4, tied up his wife, mother, and maid and departed with the loot, which also included four kg of silver and cash of Rs four lakh. The police filed an FIR and commenced probe into the case.
Investigations revealed that maid Meena from West Bengal had conspired with her husband Imran and four others and carried out the armed robbery, police said.
Of the total loot, 107 sovereign of gold ornaments, four kg of silver and Rs 35,000 were recovered, while police are trying to get the remaining amount from a bank, where Imran had deposited the cash, they added.
All six persons were today produced in a local court, which remanded them to judicial custody.
