According to police, the truck carrying around 50 people including the bride and groom was returning to Gopavaram village from the neighbouring Prakasam district.
"The truck was travelling on a ghat road when the mishap occurred last night. The bride and groom escaped unhurt. All the injured were admitted to a hospital. We are investigating the case," sub-inspector at Mahanandi police station R Lokesh Kumar said.
He said they are also trying to ascertain whether the driver was in an inebriated condition while driving.
