Six killed in road accident in UP

Five members of a family and their relative were killed today when their car went out of control, crossed a road divider and collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction on the Lucknow-Rae Bareli national highway, the police said.
The incident occurred at 6.35 am. The car passengers were going to Vindhyachal temple. The six people died on the spot Superintendent of Police Shivhari Meena said.
The deceased were identified as Divya Kumar Mishra (30), Shakti Mishra (26), Divyaa Mishra (25), Deepika Mishra (23), Arpit Mishra (14) and Jyoti Pandey (18), the SP said.
Pandey, was a resident of Basti district, while the rest were from Lucknow's Indiranagar.

The bdies have been sent for post-mortem and the driver of the truck is absconding, the official said.
