Six labourers killed in lightning strike

At least six farm labourers, including four women, were killed and another was critically injured after lightning struck them in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha today, police said.
The victims were working in an agriculture field near Khunta canal chhak when lightning accompanied by heavy rains hit the area killing five persons, including four women, on the spot and injuring two others, they said.
The two injured were taken to the district headquarter hospital where one of them was declared brought dead, police said.
The other injured labourer is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
