"The incident took place early morning in the Dasht area of Turbat district," a police official said.
The gunmen killed the school teacher, his two brothers-in- laws and three other relatives.
Police said investigations were on to ascertain the motive behind the killings but didn't rule out the role of militants.
The incident came days after private schools in the area received threatening letters from a little known militant organisation which calls itself the 'Tanzeem ul Islami ul Furqan' in the nearby region of Panjgur.
A number of schools were shut down in May for several days in the aftermath of the threats with over 5,000 teachers and students staging protests in Punjgur and Turbat.
