Six POs posted as in-charge senior prosecuting officers

The Jammu and Kashmir Home Department today issued orders of posting for six prosecuting officers (POs) as in-charge Senior Prosecuting Officers.
Principal Secretary (Home) Suresh Kumar issued the orders in favour of Rubeen Akhtar, Qazi Abid Ali, Yougesh Bamba, Rohina Manhas, Riyaz Ahmad and Mohammad Shafi Baba.
"Sanction is hereby accorded to the placement of prosecuting officers as in-charge senior prosecuting officers in their own pay and grade, purely in the interest of government work," Kumar said in the order.
The placements are for a period of six months till the posts are filled through recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee or Public Service Commission, it added.

The elevated officers have been asked to look after the work of prosecution officers also till these posts are filled up on substantive basis.
