The 32-year-old accused, identified as Jeetendra Kumar has been arrested by the police and sent to Tihar in judicial custody.
"The incident came to light around 10 days ago when the girl refused to go to school. When her parents enquired with she revealed that Kumar had allegedly touched her inappropriately," said a senior police official.
Her parents lodged a complaint with the police following which a case was registered under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) and nabbed Kumar from his residence in Ambedkar Nagar area where he lived with his wife, police said.
