Sixth Economic census in Nagland from tomorrow

Nagaland Economics and Statistics Department will conduct the Sixth Economic Census throughout the State from tomorrow till July 14, in pursuant to the notification of the Union Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
A press release issued by the State Directorate of Economics and Statistics Kohima stated, the Economic Census is a complete enumeration of all establishments and entity engaged in any economic activity.
The Census will cover the entire state irrespective of their location, size, employment and turnover in both registered and unregistered establishment.
The purposes of the Economic Census is to provide detailed information on operational and other variables of the various economic establishments in the state as well as at sub-State level.

It will also analyse the structure of the economy both at the Macro and Micro Level.
The Directorate has requested all Public and owners of Business Establishment to cooperate with the Field Functionaries of Enumerators, and provide them with the relevant information as per the Census Schedule.
