Maharashtra Skill Development Minister Sambhaji Patil Nilangekar today launched an email address 'Mahamaitri' for corporates who have signed memorandum of understandings with the department.
Announcing the launch of the email id
mahamaitri.Sded@maha.Gov.In during a roundtable with MoU partners, Nilangekar said the email will be directly accessed by him.
He said the department's principal secretary Deepak Kapoor has been asked to remain in direct touch with the concerned corporate partners.
Starting from February 2016, the state skill development and entrepreneurship department has signed a total of 61 MoUs till now, out of which 57 are into execution, the minister said.
"We realised that though we had joined hands with the best of corporates and they were supporting us in a huge way (but) whenever they faced any problem or they had any suggestions, they did not know whom to approach," Nilangekar said.
"We thought it was important for us to ensure that they reach us easily without any hiccups and hence we thought of this email id where they can directly connect with me," he added.
The minister also directed officials of his department to make the process of adopting the ITIs easier for corporates and solve their issues within fifteen days.
The MoU partners have invested a total of Rs 20 crore to strengthen 145 state Industrial Training Institutes helping around 25000 students.
