Slain Darul Uloom student buried amid tight security

The body of the Darul Uloom Deoband student, who was shot dead by unidentified gunmen, was laid to rest amid tight security at his native village here, police said today.
Mohd Mubarik, one of the two students who were shot dead by motorbike-borne criminals near Barla village on May 23, succumbed to his injuries at Delhi's Safdarjung hospital Saturday night. The burial was performed at Didaheri village yesterday, they said.
The security has been tightened in the communally sensitive area in the wake of the incident, police said, adding that a search operation to nab the accused was on.
Leading Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband had condemned the incident and demanded immediate arrest of the accused.
