Small sugar climbs on fresh demand

Small sugar prices climbed at the Vashi wholesale market here today on fresh demand from stockists and millers offtake.
Meanwhile, medium sugar prices held stable in the absence of necessary buying support.
Small sugar (M-30) moved up by Rs 12 per quintal to Rs 3,052/3,132 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 3,040/3,132.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,052/3,132 (Rs 3,040/3,132).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,160/3,311 (Rs 3,160/3,311).
