Small sugar falls on lower demand

Small sugar fell further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on continuous selling pressure amid lower demand from millers and bulk consumers.
However, medium sugar ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Small sugar prices (S-30) dipped by Rs 25/10 per quintal to Rs 2,135/2,242 from saturday's closing level of Rs 2,160/2,252.
Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,280/2,502 per quintal.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,135/2,242 (Rs 2,160/2,252).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,280/2,502 (Rs 2,280/2,502).
