Small sugar moves up on fresh demand

Small sugar prices moved up at the Vashi wholesale sugar market here today due to fresh demand from stockists and millers offtake.
Meanwhile, medium sugar held stable in the absence of necessary buying support.
Small sugar (M-30) climbed by Rs 6 per quintal to Rs 3,072/3,145 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 3,066/3,145.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,072/3,145 (Rs 3,066/3,145)
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,192/3,311 (Rs 3,192/3,311).
