Small sugar prices gain on mild demand

Small sugar prices gained further at the Vashi wholesale market here today on sustained demand from stockists and retailers.
While, medium sugar ruled stable in the absence of any worthwhile buying.
Small sugar (S-30) prices moved up by Rs 5 per quintal to Rs 2,482/2,580 from yesterday's closing level of Rs 2,482/2,575.
Medium sugar (M-30) was quoted at Rs 2,582/2,712.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 2,582/2,712 (Rs 2,582/2,712).
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,482/2,580 (Rs 2,482/2,575).
