Small sugar spurts on good demand

Small sugar prices spurted at the Vashi wholesale market here today due to good demand from millers and bulk consumers.
While, medium sugar prices maintained a mixed pattern trade owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Small sugar (S-30) prices climbed by Rs 2/149 per quintal to Rs 3,592/3,805 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 3,590/3,656.
However, medium sugar (M-30) quoted at Rs 3,676/3,960 as compared Rs 3,690/3,951 yesterday.
Following are today's closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,592/3,805 (Rs 3,590/3,656).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,676/3,960 (Rs 3,690/3,951).
